Ultrasonic (UT) Testing and Inspection Equipment
AUT Systems
Silverwing is pleased to announce the release of the latest version of their ultrasonic corrosion mapping system the RMS2 (Rapid Motion Scanner) which can now inspect critical pipework with a minimum diameter of 6 inch and larger.
The RMS2 is a high-speed remote access ultrasonic corrosion mapping system which has improved reliability and functionality. The RMS2 is designed for rapid, large scale inspection of ferrous structures such as storage tanks, pipe-work, pressure vessels, risers and other critical equipment.

The Scorpion B-scan is a rugged remote access ultrasonic crawler designed to
allow cost Effective A and B-scan imaging on above ground ferro-magnetic
structures such as above ground storage tanks without the need for costly scaffolding or rope access. The Scorpion
remote access crawler uses a unique “Dry Coupled” wheel probe eliminating the
need for traditional couplant. This allows the crawler to travel vertically,
horizontally or even inverted whilst still fully functional.

The Scorpion DCP remote access crawler uses a unique “Dry
Coupled” wheel probe eliminating the need for traditional couplant. This allows
the crawler to travel vertically, horizontally or even inverted whilst still
fully functional. Compatible with most ultrasonic system, a 50 metre umbilical
cable allows access to the furthest point of most structures without the need
for scaffolding.

TheScorpion BP remote access crawler comes supplied with an irrigated dual 5MHz transducer fed from a pressurised stainless steel reservoir. Compatible with
most ultrasonic system, a 30 metre umbilical cable with water feed allows access to the top of the highest storage tank for remote access thickness measurements.

The ScanmapVS system utilises the proven reliability of the Scorpion wall crawler with an added transverse scanner fitted to the front end. The transverse scanner covers a 130 mm wide strip at a speed of 600 mm per second. With a forward crawler speed of 900 mm per minute, the ScanmapVS provides rapid inspection whilst achieving complete UT coverage.

Manual Ultrasonic Equipment
The R-scan Lite can be used on a wide variety of components ranging from 50mm diameter pipe up to a flat surface. The R-scan Lite is simple to set up and is highly portable while providing detailed and accurate ultrasonic thickness information. The R-scan Lite system continuously records thickness measurements as the scanning head is moved over the inspection surface with the recorded thickness information is presented as an A-scan trace, a digital thickness measurement and a B-Scan thickness profile.
|
The Thetascan is a portable, battery operated PC based digital ultrasonic C-Scan imaging system designed for ease of operation within the Petro-chemical environment.
|
Silverwing ToFD Lite unit is a low cost portable twin Probe ToFD scan imaging system designed to capture data images to assist with securing hard copy as well as accurate data to detect and quantify any weld defect in simple butt weld configurations without the need to barrier work areas to perform conventional radiography.

Ultrasonic Flaw Detectors
The D-SCAN 701 and 705 units are high performance digital ultrasonic flaw detectors from Silverwing UK. The latest developments in amplifier and pulser technology deliver higher levels of near surface resolution penetrating power and excellent signal to noise ratio.

Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges
Handheld Ultrasonic Material and Coating Thickness Gauges. The latest thickness gauge from Silverwing, the T-scan 300 is a combined material and coatings thickness gauge.
The T-scan 300DL has all the features of the T-scan 300 but also has a massive data storage facility. The 32 MB of RAM allows storage of 210,000 thickness measurements
