Silverwing Middle East LLC (SWME) is pleased to announce that they have been appointed as the representatives for IRT Consult Ltd (IRT) in the Middle East region as an expansion of our activities to improve the range of corrosion inspection techniques

IRT is the one of the world’s leading service providers of specialist Thermography services using non-intrusive highly sensitive FLIR Thermography GF cameras to remotely screen the item and locate the areas of concern in a matter of minutes or hours thus making the unforeseen potential catastrophic invisible issues visible. They have already supplied their specialist services in a number of Middle East locations and both parties are confident that the partnership shall produce mutual benefits for all concerned.
 
The GF range of equipment was previously developed for military applications and operated under special licence control in the industrial sector. IRT are currently in the unique position of being the only known operator of the GF range of equipment in the UK. The GF range of systems is a very accurate technique for identifying hidden issues such as:
   
  • Volatile organic compounds(VOC) fugitive emission and other leaking gases which are sometimes invisible to the naked eye or gas sniffer due to prevailing conditions including low pressure leaks in Land Fill sites
  
  • Petrochemical Process and Industrial plant Inspections covering insulation or refractory failures in various plant items including, ladle stations, furnaces, process vessels, flare stacks, cooling towers, exhaust gas flue stacks /chimneys
  • Mechanical Predictive Maintenance including potential mechanical failures in bearings, shafts and other rotating plant items
  • Industrial Pipeline Insulation Integrity Surveys covering CIU, lined pipes ,pipe blockages, compressed air lines
  • Sludge levels in various tanks, vessels or pipes
  • Electrical inspection and condition Monitoring covering loose connections, electrical overload and insulation failure
  • Building performance surveys including water leaks, heat or energy loss
  • Pipeline aerial surveys
 
IRT also provide consultancy services to their clients on a wide range of unusual applications based on their extensive field experience for some 10 years in Thermography and can supply thermography equipment as well as train personnel in the use of the equipment.
