The Silverwing T-Scan is a precision Ultrasonic Micrometer that can be used to make reliable measurements or scan a length of material for the thinnest point. Based on the same operating principles as SONAR, the T-Scan is capable of measuring the thickness of various materials with accuracy as high as ± 0.001 inches, or ± 0.01 millimetres.

The principle advantage of ultrasonic measurement over traditional methods is that ultrasonic measurements can be performed with access to only one side of the material being measured. The T-Scan’s backlit display is easy to read, even in dim light, and the unit operates for up to 200 hours on a single set of batteries.

T-Scan 100

The T-Scan 100 has the ability to field calibrate on the fly and offers extreme flexibility and accuracy to calibrate to a variety of materials instantly. Simply tell the T-Scan 100 one known thickness point located on the test material, and the T-Scan will calculate the material type for you. The T-Scan is also equipped with a two point calibration option, providing the user with extreme accuracy. Another special feature of the T-Scan 100 is the high speed scan mode. In this mode, the T-Scan 100 takes 16 readings per second rather than 4 readings per second in standard measurement mode. The readings are viewable while scanning. Simply remove the transducer from the area being tested and the T-Scan 100 will display the minimum thickness in the area scanned.

T-Scan 300

The latest thickness gauge from Silverwing, the T-scan 300 is a combined material and coatings thickness gauge.

Unlike other systems the T-scan 300 is capable of measuring through painted surfaces and giving both the thickness of the paint and the base metal at the same time. Options within the software allow the operator to view the results as either simple digits or as a B-scan cross sectional image of the inspected area.

T-Scan 300DL

The T-scan 300DL has all the features of the T-scan 300 but also has a massive data storage facility. The 32 MB of RAM allows storage of 210,000 thickness measurements, in either grid or sequential format, or 16,000 B-scan graphical images including the settings for each image.

T-Scan 300DL+

The T-scan 300DL+ has all the features of the T-scan 300DL but also incudes an A-Scan display.
