Course Objectives
In order to meet the needs of today's fast changing inspection industry, Silverwing (UK) Ltd has developed the "MFL Tank Corrosion Inspection Course with TWI Exam Preparation”.
The course includes notes and summaries on the tank inspection standards referenced in the API 653, EEMUA 159 and UK HSE 481 report.
This comprehensive 24 hour course consists of three 8-hour teaching days. It is designed to accomplish a two-fold training agenda:
- To train those individuals who are interested in obtaining the TWI Tank Inspection Certification.
- Train those who require to operate Silverwing Floormap systems as a MFL grade I technician.
- Train those who require a working knowledge of the intricacies encountered in the working environment.

Who Should Attend
The course is intended for Inspection Engineers who are seeking certification as a MFL / NDT technicians or inspectors. Other engineers, managers or technical staffs who are dealing with Steel Aboveground Storage Tanks used in the Petrochemical Industry may also benefit.
Candidates should have the following minimum criteria:
English speaking
Computer literate in all Microsoft XP professional or later including MS Word as well as MS Excel functions
Preferably ASNT Level II UT certification or similar
Able to read Jaeger No 2 or equivalent type eye chart at a distance of not more than 305 mm and illustrate a test within last 12 months
Able to illustrate completion of colour detection test using Ishihara isochromatic plate within last 3 years
Course Certificate
Silverwing (UK) Ltd certificate will be issued to all attendees completing minimum of 75% of the total tuition hours of the course and acceptable examination pass mark for grading as a Level I or Level II MFL/UT technician as appropriate

The Welding Institute (TWI) recognise the course as a valuable requirement of the Qualification for Tank Bottom Examination (MFL) personnel which is a requirement for any organisation wishing to perform inspection services for Shell BV organisation and their affiliates.

Course Fee
£500.00 per Delegate. This rate includes Participant’s Pack (Folder, Manual, Hand-outs, etc.), buffet lunch, coffee/tea on arrival, morning & afternoon of each day.
Accommodation
Accommodation is not included in the course fees. However, any accommodation required can be arranged by Silverwing (UK) Ltd or Silverwing Middle East LLC at the time of booking.
